Tasting:

He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Dark, opaque, purple/garnet color with a purple rim. Powerful dark fruit aromas. Intense, dry, mouth-puckering, fruity taste with a slight spiciness and hints of tobacco. Long, pungent, dusty dry finish that carries the fruit flavors on and on. EXCELLENT with the cheese but very nice drinking alone. STRONG, bold and California, but at the same time delicious and mellow with the cheeses. I bought this with cheese tasting in mind…and it didn’t disappoint. Nice California Merlot that’s priced well for the quality.

She said: Ruby red color, opaque, lots of irregularly spaced steadily moving legs. With a heady aroma and flavor this wine was a typical California red and I loved it. The aroma and flavor was full of ripe red berries; but I was so taken by the delicious cheeses my review of the wine got the short end of the stick…sorry because it was very good Merlot.
