Tasting:

He said: Opened one hour before drinking. Clear dark purple with no rim. Light, but very nice dark fruit and damp earth aromas. Rich, full body blackberry taste and an very long dry, dusty finish with excellent smooth subtle tannins. DELICIOUS alone and with the duck dinner. Robust flavor and a VERY pronounced finish. This gets two thumbs up from me and it’s near the top of the list for wine we have had from the Queen Mary 2 cellar.

She said: Great dinner from start to finish especially in regard to the wine. The bouquet and taste set the stage with a perfect blend of fruity and earthy scents and flavors. A great balance emerged between the flavor, tannins and acidity that together with the full body and long finish made for a beautiful accompaniment to the whole meal.
