Tasting:

He said: Opened one hour before drinking. Crystal clear, very light (pale) garnet color. Strong ripe strawberry aromas. Intense fruit and mineral taste that finishes medium-long with strong acidity and lots of dry ripe fruit. The wine went best with the pasta (that had lots of oil and garlic) and was great sipping after dinner. This was smooth, easy drinking wine with OUTSTANDING flavor and minerality. I didn’t like my pairing but the wine was VERY good. For me it was a wine with great potential…I wish I had paired it with something fatty that the mouth clearing acidity would have complemented.

She said: The first sniff was full of flavor and was followed by an equally interesting taste. As the wine passed over the palate it developed a whole other pleasant taste that lasted into the medium long finish. The body was light and at times I felt I was drinking flavored water but perhaps that was the influence of the food because as I sipped it with the dinner behind me the wine was much better. I don’t think this was a good pairing because the food flavors overwhelmed the wine. When drank by itself the wine showed beautiful flavors.
