He said: Dark garnet color. Wispy fresh fruit aromas. Intense red fruit taste (lots of juicy strawberry and ripe current) that carries through a very long dry finish with just a tad of pepper. WOW, WOW, WOW, this is a big and luscious wine priced under $10!!! Powerful flavor, nice smooth tannins and a delicious long dry, tasty finish. At $9.59 I can only describe this as a bargain wine. And, a GREAT example of the quality/price ratio that can be found in Spanish wines…this is truly what I call a steal-of-a-deal!!!
She said: The dreadful face on the label of this wine should not deter you because it is a great wine at this price! The wonderful taste of strawberries and other fruit combined with the medium body and delicious tannins make this the kind of wine I like to drink. True, the aroma is slight but the dryness, flavors and finish full of delicate tannins make it a memorable drinking experience. There are wines out there that are as good as this, but not many this good at this price, it’s an exceptional value.
Comments: After the meal we were both savoring more than half a glass of this delicious wine…it was so good we didn’t want it to end, and that says a lot!!!
