Tasting:

He said: 1st Tasting: Ruby red color. Complex bouquet of ripe fruit, damp earth, wet stone, leather and vanilla spice. Strong fruity taste and a very long finish that carries all the bouquet and taste on and on. A wonderful balance of fruit, low tannins and acidity. This is a wine we were introduced to at a Beaujolais wine tasting. We loved it then, but it was even better with the roast pork. This wine is so flavorful and easy drinking it’s just enjoyment by the mouthful!!! In a word it’s OUTSTANDING.

She said: 1st Tasting: This wine reminds me of a flower opening because it starts slowly with a flavorful bouquet and taste and swirls through to a long lasting finish that tastes of earth and leather with light tannins. It was fabulous with the pork roast but just as good sipping afterwards. The tiniest taste felt like a mouthful. With a dark red color and legs that looked like cathedral windows it was a visual treat as well. At $40 it was a treat that I will remember.

2nd Tasting: From the very first sniff to the last bit of the finish this wine is fabulous. The bouquet and flavor creates a vision of a sweaty horse after a good workout and follows through to the end of the long finish. This was just as good tonight as it was last time we had it and I enjoyed sipping it after our dinner. At $40 it is reserved for special dinners at our house.
