Tasting:

Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Slightly opaque, brownish garnet color with a brownish rim. Fantastic fresh plowed sod and damp wood aromas with lesser ripe blackberry, fresh-baked bread right out of the oven, blooming lilacs and a spiciness that really created a unique bouquet. Very approachable, substantial yet delicate, medium body and a silky 800-grit texture. Rich plum, current and cherry flavors mixed in with a dusty smokiness and crushed igneous rock mineral taste. Brisk, bright acidity, enormous amounts of gentle silky smooth tannins and a noteworthy fresh finish that was long and filled with complex flavors, mineral and that earthiness that each sip began with. WOW, WOW, WOW this was jumping up and down delicious Beaujolais. The bouquet alone is worth the price of the bottle!!! This was sensuous Gamay that was impressive for both its elegance and strength. As we sipped the last pour we commented to each other that it was OUTSTANDING Beaujolais that every wine drinker should try, at least once!!! This was one of the best Beaujolais we’ve ever had.
