He said: Very dark ruby red color. Damp earth and strong raspberry aromas. Heavy, abundant fruit flavors and a dry, smooth, medium finish that has just a touch of mineral. WOW, for the price this is an outstanding buy for a Beaujolais. For me it lacked some of the complexity and wonderful balance I have come to enjoy in Beaujolais; however, it’s cheap, full of flavor and VERY drinkable Beaujolais…and that says it all!!!
She said: I generally don’t flavor Beaujolais because they are so light but this one is an exception. It has plenty of body and flavor. Too bad we are not eating a hearty meal or at least something tasty.
Comments: See our comments on the 2009 vintage. This 2011 vintage was lower in price and dropped into our “Bargain Category”, yet from our comments you can see the wine is very similar.
