Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with a lighter brown tint in the rim. Powerful damp earth, boysenberry and raspberry aromas with hints of floral. Silky smooth, light and lively mouthfeel, medium body and a 150-grit texture. Robust and ripe pomegranate, raspberry and cherry with a noticeable amount of oregano and lots of peppery spice. Nice reserved bright acidity, integrated soft and ripe tannins and a long juicy finish that leaves a mineral taste in the mouth. WOW, there is a delicious earthiness from start to finish and combined with the ripe raspberry taste it is simply fantastic. If there was a fault it would be the fading tannins, but it had exquisite balance and could easily be called elegant. We said it was OUTSTANDING Beaujolais that was a notable value.
