Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Just barely clear with a blend of inky dark ruby color and a tint of purple, a lighter purple rim and lots of sediment on the third pour. Damp wood, ripe red fruit, sweet spice, dandelion leaves and hints of floral aromas. Vivacious, lively, dense and zesty mouthfeel, light to medium body and an 80-grit texture. Sour cherry, current and fresh strawberry fruit flavors mixed with lots of peppery spice. Edgy, but not overpowering acidity, soft integrated tannins and a soft yet powerful ripe fruity finish that was loaded with texture. WOW, very exciting fruity Beaujolais, not sweet, but lots of sunshine. We enjoyed it very much and particularly liked the light freshness that exuded from every sip. We called it a VERY NICE cru Beaujolais.
