He said: Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark garnet color with a brown tint and a lighter rim. Lots of damp basement aromas with hints of dark fruit. Quite intense cherry taste, than just before mid-palate it gets VERY dry and continues through a long smooth finish that has nice grippy tannins. Light to medium body, bright acidity and a spicy note in the finish. GREAT with the pesto on the pizza. This easily gets into our Quality wine at a Bargain price category. Unusually dry Italian red that’s very food friendly and a real bargain.
She said: Dark purple red with brownish rim; thin irregularly spaced, racy legs. Distinct musty-sort of aroma leads to a relatively light bodied, very dry, smooth mouth-feel with light flavors; but nice tannins. The finish is long and continues the tannins. The wine was delicious with both the pizza and salad and I recommend it as a Bargain wine at $14.40
