He said: Clear ruby red color. Strong cherry aromas. Dry cherry taste that continues on and on into the very long finish. This is REAL Chianti Classico…medium body, dry and flavorful; but it’s the smooth, velvety tannins that really make it good. Wonderful with the blue cheese pasta and sumptuous drinking after dinner. Not cheap, but a real treat.
She said: The wine was Classico but the pairing was not. Who would pair a Chianti of any sort with blue cheese? No one, perhaps but us and it was delicious. I was served way more than I wanted but the dinner was so good with the wine I ate it anyway. The red cherry aroma and flavor was carried through to the dry long finish filled with enticing tannins. You don’t get such a good wine cheap but I would buy it again at $19.99.
