He said: Dark garnet color. Light fruit bouquet. Good one-dimensional fruit taste and along dry finish. Just an OK Chianti. It’s really dry and somewhat fruity but that’s it. Would I buy it again…no and I don’t recommend it even at the low price of $10.39. It was a disappointment!!!
She said: A good Chianti is really good and this one isn’t. It has good points but they are limited: it is dry and medium bodied with moderate tannins. Yes, it has a slight aroma and fruit taste, but it’s fairly long finish has a hint of bitterness at the end. To be fair the pairing with this dinner was poor but it did not improve much with sipping after dinner. Would I buy it again? No, because it’s just not good Chianti.
