He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, garnet with LOTS of brick-red color throughout the glass, brick red rim and a touch of sediment in the last pour. Red cherry aroma with hints of rose floral. Generous amounts of cherry & red berry taste with a finish that had supple tannins and was bone dry. SUPER FANTASTIC pairing with the moussaka and a nice Chianti when drinking the last little bit after the dinner was done. The quality was up to the price point and it really made the dinner sing. A good Chianti Classico Riserva that gets two thumbs up from me.
She said: Dark red with a noticeable brown rim and regularly spaced pokey legs. This was a perfect pairing with the moussaka that was seasoned with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg and was especially delicious with the wine. It made for a memorable combination, the tomatoes were probably equally valuable to the total taste as they were homegrown and roasted. As much as I rave about the pairing of the moussaka and the wine I cannot forget the salad and it to went well primarily because of feta cheese that was creamy and salty. This was a delicious Chianti and I would buy again at the $22 (or less) price point.
