He said: Dark garnet and purple color with a lighter rim. Musty, plum and clove aroma. Very dry, dusty, mouth filling, slightly tart current and plum taste that carries into a very long dry finish. It had tannins with a slight edge, sumptuous fruit flavors and was a wine I would describe as having drama. Excellent paired with the steak and blue cheese and especially good drinking alone because it was not big and bold. NOTEWORTHY Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that’s an OUTSTANDING value.
We had this side-by-side with a Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that was a more expensive wine. Everyone knew one wine was about twice the price of the other and immediately identified the Stag’s Leap as the more expensive bottle. I do believe if the bottles had been covered there might have been some question about which was the more expensive wine…they were both OUTSTANDING Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon…but, one was a real bargain!!!
She said: Ruby red, opaque. A cathedral of fast moving thin legs. Big luscious fruity aroma is followed by red berry flavors and a dry mouth feel with medium body. The moderate tannin added interest mid palate and ended with a slight grip as the finish faded. Delicious wine and excellent with the dinner.
