He said: Dark, almost opaque ruby red color. Light dark fruit aromas. Fairly smooth, dry, bright fruit taste that has an OK balance with flavor and tannins. The finish is medium-length, smooth and flavorful. Nothing special but at under $10 this has to be called a bargain Cabernet.
She said: Faint aromatic bouquet leads to a tasty flavor with medium body and short finish. No nuances of flavor but no harshness or sweetness, so it’s a bargain wine at under $10.
Comments: Columbia Crest Grand Estates wines are always consistent…they are never memorable; but typically very drinkable and usually inexpensive.
