He said: Opened one hour before tasting. Garnet red color. Light, ripe currant aromas. Rich, smooth (yet had proment tannins) dark cherry taste that carries through the medium length dry, oaky finish. An excellent pairing with the grilled beef…it had just the right acidity to cut the fat in the beef. Not a layered taste but very drinkable Cabernet that’s “not bad” for this price.
She said: This Cabernet has an outstanding aroma followed by equally delicious flavors. It was smooth and dry with a body on the light side of medium, and the tannins were soft. The medium long finish was good but not outstanding
Comments: It should also be noted that this was one of two wines blind tasted with this beef dinner. See also our tasting notes from the other wine (Pederi Aldo Conterno Barolo Romarisco 2006).
