Tasting:

He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Dark garnet color with a light brick red rim. Strong cherry and blackberry aromas. Intense, very smooth, dark fruit taste with soft tannins and a VERY dry fruity finish. This is a jumping up and down delicious Sangiovese. PERFECT with the egg plant Parmesan tomato sauce and OUTSTANDING drinking alone after the dinner. At only $12.60 this is a BARGAIN Super Tuscan Wine, in SPADES!!! Two thumbs up from me and a STRONG recommendation…it’s simply an OUTSTANDING VALUE.

She said: Dark red color with brownish rim; legs numerous, thin, and speedy although the alcohol content was just 13%. I have not completed my dinner but I have to say, this is a great bargain wine! Although the aroma is light the effect on the palette is not. Tons of fruity flavor pass over the tongue as the medium body provides substance. Dry and smooth, the wine has a long finish that carries the flavors as well as the very pleasant tannins. An excellent pairing with the red sauce of the eggplant Parmesan but equally good sipping after dinner. Ray made me guess at the price and I was way high. Truly a bargain wine! I would like to have this any time I have a pasta dinner, but, alas, Ray is not inclined to buy the same wine twice (sigh).

Comments: With Asiago cheese after dinner it was heavenly.
