He said: Opened one hour before drinking. Opaque (with a little sediment in the bottom of the glass), dark garnet color with a light purple rim. Cherry and herb aromas with lots of leather in the background. Silky smooth entry, medium body although very light and fresh; juicy cherry and tobacco flavors that had lots of dry tartness, crisp acidity, smooth edged tannins, and a dry spicy finish. Fantastically well balanced and the Merlot in the blend adds tremendously to the texture making it a smooth, “easy drinking” Sangiovese blend. This was memorable Tuscan wine that gets an easy two thumbs up from me. Outstanding Tuscan blend that’s an all-time GREAT value at under $20!!!
She said: Opaque, dark garnet red color with lots of fat regularly spaced slow-moving legs. Right off the bat the aroma impress me with its fruity scent and the following fruity flavor did not disappoint. The medium body was complemented by a dry mouth-feel and a long finish with lots of flavor and supple tannins. Excellent with the pasta and sipping alone although I also liked it with the desert against Ray’s recommendation. It may be a “Super Tuscan”, but in my book it’s a GREST “Baby Tuscan” at only $20! I would buy it again in the flesh. Ray? Do you hear me?
