He said: Opened 60-minutes before drinking. Inky, very dark purple color with a purple rim. Ripe cherry, blackberry and wet wood aromas. Smooth mouth-feel, rich juicy fruit taste that’s chewy and intense, then if that wasn’t enough it finishes with powerful peppery fruit flavors that are almost overwhelming. This is a quadruple WOW flavor packed California Zinfandel blend…the range of tastes goes from fresh picked sweet to dry and tart. This has to be one of the best examples of wine produced in sunny California conditions. It’s so intense everybody might not like it…but, it makes a strong statement that really complements grilled food. The sniff alone is worth the price. If you want the quintessential California Zinfandel you have to try this one!!!
She said: Dark purple color, opaque, lots of thin speedy legs. Huge red berry aroma followed by an even bigger red berry flavor complemented by delicious tannins, a full body, and a long finish that has both the red berry flavor and the tannins. Fabulous wine with the blue cheese but just as good sipping after dinner. It is hard to imagine a more flavorful wine and I loved it. Although not in the bargain category, this wine was so good I highly recommend it.
