Tasting:

Opened and decanted 90-minutes before drinking. Opaque, dark purple-garnet color with the same color rim. Aromas of: ripe plum, blackberry, cherry and freshly plowed soil on a still spring morning. Smooth, light yet lusty mouthfeel, full body and a 150-grit texture. Intense layers of earthy blackberry, current and dab of cinnamon flavors. Fresh bright acidity, very fine grained tannins and a long finish that was filled with fruit and peppery spice tastes. This was a big WOW, the depth of flavors, perfect balance and surprising grip to the silky tannins made for a glorious drinking Bordeaux blend wine. It’s bold and had plenty of new world character, but it was also so refined and delicate that it should be called elegant. Fantastic paired with the venison and the two together made the dinner memorable. Seductive wine that was simply OUTSTANDING!!!
