He said: Dark red color. Earthy bouquet. Slight berry that finishes with a sour taste. A little disappointing…it’s not up to the quality of the Mediterranean White. Even at $3.60 it’s so-so at best.
She said: Mild, earthy, hint of mushroom aroma that does not continue into the taste. Lacks flavor good or bad. Medium body, with mild tannins and some acidity, The finish is short and nondescript. This was terrible with the dinner but improved with after dinner chocolate. This is the same vintner that produces Mediterranean White, which we recommend as a buy. The Mediterranean Red is not of the same ilk, and even at $3.60 is only OK.
