He said: Opened and recorked for 24 hours. Clear, very dark garnet color. Damp earth and fruit aromas, Powerful dry taste of fruit and smoke that goes all the way through the very end of the long finish. WOW…this is intense, flavorful wine!!! OUTSTANDING with the lamb and equally as good alone. I really love the very dry, dusty mouth-feel and delicious bitterness in the finish. An unusually good Italian red that sets itself above the others.
She said: A light red cherry bouquet leads to a full blown red cherry flavor that runs smoothly over the tongue into a long finish with a touch of bitterness. Somewhere on the trip a smokiness winds itself in and the overall effect was delicious. Great with the lamb bolognese and complemented the salad. This is a wine I would recommend in a flash and can’t wait to have again.
