Opened one hour before drinking. Opaque, purple/ruby color with a light purple rim. Dark fruit, chocolate and oaky aromas. Smooth entry that quickly turns to concentrated, intense, luscious and chewy mouthfeel, full body and a 60-grit texture. Rich blackberry, boysenberry, black cherry and plum fruit flavors coupled with chewy and dark chocolate tastes. Medium yet fresh acidity, silky tannins and a long and mouth filling finish that had a tart and spicy aftertaste that went on and on. Very rich and robust tastes, captivating mouthfeel and a potent red wine from sunny South Australia. This was a true WOW wine, it was so robust in tastes and silky textures the 16% Alcohol was completely covered up. We really enjoyed it with the venison, but surprisingly tiny sips without food were a real experience too. We called it a noteworthy Mollydooker red blend.
Note: This was such an unusual wine for us we opened a bottle of Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz to taste and compare side-by-side. Both were equally big and bold red wines; but we were especially drawn to the Two Left Feet because the flavors were more complex and it was more delicate and elusive. Of the two, without hesitation, we would chose the Two Left Feet over the Blue Eyed Boy.
