He said: Very slightly opaque, very dark ruby red color. Intense barn-yard and dark fruit aromas. Strong, dry, dusty tart blackberry taste with lots of spice. And, a wonderful “full-body” flavor and very slightly bitter long finish. This is a double WOW Rhone wine. From the first sniff through the end of the rich FULL flavor finish it is OUTSTANDING. And, at $10.40 it’s a jumping up and down VALUE PACKED BARGAIN. I put this into the category of a GREAT Rhone red at a FANTASTIC price.
She said: I never suspected that this wine came out of the bargain bin at the Caviste when I drank it with dinner. It had a fabulous aroma, full flavor, medium body and long dry tart finish. Yum! My only concern was with a bit of harshness but the complexity of the flavor overrode that issue. At $10 it is a bargain wine but I doubt many people will be able to fine it especially at this low price.
