Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Right at the edge of being clear, purple/garnet color with a light purple rim. Intense barnyard, Pennsylvania mushroom house, cherry, blackberry and ripe plum aromas. Smooth, approachable, medium body and a 200-grit texture. Robust spicy cherry and blackberry flavor, lots and lots of bright mouthwatering acidity and silky tannins that grew slightly grippy as we sipped the second pour. All this came together in a long dry savory fruit finish that had a crushed igneous rock minerality. Very expressive bouquet and tastes. As the cork was pulled the first whiff of earthy fruit jumped from the bottle and was a prologue of the wonderful wine to come. VERY NICE Rhone blend that was an EXCELLENT value.
