He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark garnet color with a light purple rim. Fruit and earthy aromas. Medium body, cherry, cranberry and just a touch of spice in the taste that goes into a long finish that ends fruity and with light hint of mineral. Lots of fruit, soft tannins that had just a very slight grip, plenty of acidity and a range of flavors that went on and on. A food friendly wine that’s very delicious.
She said: Ruby red, opaque, modest number of thin plodding legs. The mild red berry aroma led to a more flavorful mouth-feel that was dry, smooth and with a medium body. The tannins were barely evident and the finish fruity. The wine was good with the cheeses and seemed to develop more flavor and tannins over time when sipped. At $12 it is a good buy, but I have had wines with more aroma, flavor, and finish at this price point.
