Tasting:

He said: Dark purple color (with just a little sediment). Light ripe fruit and hints of smoke bouquet. Rich dry, dark fruit and spice flavor and a long earthy/leather finish. It improved during the course of the dinner and in the end I was saying it’s a very smooth and delicious Bordeaux. The finish was OUTSTANDING. This is a quality wine at a price that is a good value.

She said: Medium flavored fruit bouquet and taste; dry, medium acidity, long finish with smooth, firm tannins and lots of body. I totally enjoyed the wine with the dinner and it was especially good with the steak.

Comments: 1Misty’s Restaurant in Lincoln, Nebraska serves great steaks flavored with their own rub. I used one of the free samples I picked up last Fall on the grilled Filet Mignon we had with this wine.
