Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, light bronzy ruby color with the same color rim. Robust cherry, raspberry and musty old wood aromas. Vibrant entry, quite rustic mouthfeel, light body and a 60-grit texture. Very fruity tastes of cherry, mulberry, clove and peppery spice. Nice bright acidity, abundant velvety tannins and a long tart fruity and slightly bitter spicy finish. A fruity red wine with a noteworthy bouquet, delicious smooth tannins and an extended lively finish. A unique Italian red that was delightful with and without food. We enjoyed it very much and said it was an OUTSTANDING week night Italian red we can’t wait to have again.
