He said: Dark ruby color. Light fruity aromas. strong fruit taste that carries through the short to medium length finish. The best feature…a box wine that’s not sweet!!! Nothing subtle, just LOTS of fruit, but boring. For the price it’s “not bad” and if your only looking for a cheap drinkable red wine this is a keeper…and MUCH BETTER than your run-of-the-mill box wines. And, at the end-of-the-day this is equivalent to $4.50/bottle…and it’s better than most red wines at that price.
Our son (who is not a wine drinker said “it’s a good alternative to beer with a hamburger.”
She said: I am an experienced drinker of box wine but the usual box wine I drink is a bit on the trashy side and comes in five liter boxes. That being said this one is much better. It is also better than other wines at a comparable price per bottle. What does that really say? Not a whole lot. At best it is boring which means that it does not have any significant good or bad features. Light aroma, light taste, medium body, medium finish with light tannins. No subtle flavors or mouth teasing experiences for this one. Good for relaxed sipping (aka cheap high) but I would spring for something better for a bit more money
