He said: Opened one hour before drinking. Opaque, inky dark garnet color with a brown/brick red rim. Strong supple cherry and vanilla aromas with hints of cinnamon and smoky leather. Fresh and smooth ripe cherry flavor, well balanced bright acidity and smooth edge tannins all the way to the very end of the mineral rich finish. This is a WOW, WOW, WOW Rioja, then when you see the $18.99 price tag it becomes a FANTASTIC wine at an absolute BARGAIN price!!! Simply put…this is an OUTSTANDING Rioja and one of the best values we’ve had in a long time. SUPERB, succulent Rioja that’s WAY UNDER VALUED!!!
She said: Opaque, dark garnet color with a rim tinged with brown and lots of thin well spaced speedy legs (alcohol content 13.5%). Some wines knock your socks off with the first sniff and this is one of them. Full of cherry scents the wine continued with a smooth mouth-feel, full of flavors, medium body and delicious smooth tannins that lingered into the long tasty finish. The wine went well with the both the pork and cabbage salad and was superb sipping too. A great wine at $19 and a bargain at that price even though I’m not allowed to say that on this site…LOL.
