Tasting:
-
Chill before drinking. Very pale wheat straw color with a slight glycerin look in the glass. Pleasant aroma with hints of peach, melon and fresh cut grass. Slight sharpness with a dry and rather robust mouthfeel, medium body, but with lots of texture. The taste was just like the aromas, a little bit of peach a little bit of wet grass, but with a very herbaceous dominance. Mildly acidic with just enough to balance the body and give it a fresh taste. Quite a long finish that had mild flavors and strong limestone mineral tastes. We love Spanish Albarino and this one was definitely a little different, slightly harder edge, heavier body and lacking the strong peach fruit flavors we expected. Although we only gave it a two thumbs up rating, it was quite good and we would buy it again if a Spanish bottle was not available.
