Chilled before drinking. Clear, dark golden color with a light effervescence. Ripe apple, lemon and nutmeg aromas. Silky smooth, semi-sweet, medium body and a 200-grit texture. Strong baked apples, a tad yeasty, cooked pears and ripe pineapple flavors. Fruity sweet, fresh and enticing with a tart hop backbone and long distinctive Rome apple tasting finish. Not a light drink, but very delicious sipping on a warm July evening. It was OUTSTANDING paired with the pork and would most likely pair well with lots of different foods. The bubbly effervescence and the combination of apple and hop taste really made it refreshing. A fun, delicious and lightly alcoholic alternative to “porch wines”.
