Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Crystal clear, yellow/green color. Herbal and wet wood aromas. Smooth and crisp mouth-feel; citrus and Granny Smith apple flavors with hints of saltiness and an underlining crushed rock mineral leaning that give it a slightly zippy taste. From there it dropped off, the flavors persisted, but the finish was short and there was not much depth beyond initial taste. GREAT with the pizza and “Not Bad” drinking without food after the dinner. I’d say it was “VERY GOOD” Chardonnay at $29.74.

She said: Clear golden yellow color. I get excited when having homemade pizza and look forward to a special dinner with a wine that fits the bill. Ray decided on this Chardonnay to go with the pesto sauce and although I was skeptical at first, I embraced it as a great pairing after the first taste. The mild aroma had hints of oak and earthiness, but was just a forerunner of the delicious flavors that made the mushrooms on the pizza swoon. I lust after another taste of them together as I write. The finish was medium-length, but did not carry out the flavors as well as it might. A delicious wine that went exceptionally well with the dinner, but at $29.74 it’s a stretch.
