He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, dark oat straw color. Rich, robust caramel and warm spiced apple aromas. Delicious, silky smooth on entry, followed by complex flavors of pear, caramel candy, honey and chalky mineral. At the back of the mouth it turns to apple flavors, limestone spring water, crisp acidity with a lingering tartness and a touch of tropical. WOW, there is a lot going on in this wine. Excellent pairing with the fish and something to behold drinking alone. It has aged perfectly!!! Two thumbs up from me on this one. Simply a MEMORABLE Tablas Creek Southern Rhone blend.
She said: Clear, dark golden yellow color. Think of caramel and apples and you will be in the right place for the aroma of this wine. Strong flavors followed with a rich silky smooth mouth-feel that’s followed by a long finish with mineral blending with the honey flavor before turning tart. Delicious with the fish cake and rice pilaf, the wine was good even with the asparagus and salad. Enjoyable as well as sipping alone. Definitely a quality wine that deserves attention.
