He said: 1st Pairing: Medium red color. Very light ripe berry bouquet. Dry fruit taste and a long earthy finish that has hints of harshness. It’s okay at the $6.99 but at this price there are a lot of Merlot’s to choose from and this one doesn’t stand out. 2nd Pairing: The wine held up with the dinner, but was disappointing when drank alone.
She said: 1st Pairing: Medium red color. Very light pleasant bouquet followed by a tasty full bodied flavor with good texture. Fairly dry with firm tannins in the finish. A good wine at this price but there are many similar ones in the same price range. 2nd Pairing: Flavor turned into a metallic tasting finish. The wine was better with the dinner than after.
