He said: Opened 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, inky dark purple/garnet color. Damp earth, wet leather, blackberry and plum aromas. A medium-body, but very mouth filling; dominant ripe fruit taste, but lots of dry dusty licorice flavor that ends long, dry and with mildly chewy tannins and hints of spice. Great with the venison meat loaf, but also smooth and tasty sipping without food after the dinner. I especially like the dry fruitiness and ABUNDANT MINERAL that’s in perfect balance with the acidity and tannins when drinking without food. A QUALITY wine at a BARGAIN price that’s so good with and without food. It gets my unconditional recommendation!!!
She said: Slightly opaque, deep ruby red color, with lots of thin evenly spaced swiftly moving legs. Great dense aroma and equally delicious flavors so I thought it was an expensive wine when I first tasted it. The wonderful mouth-feel included richness, full-body, smooth trexture and medium tannins, complemented by dryness and moderate acidity. It went well with the dinner, especially the venison loaf, but also did well with the beans and salad. I would like to try it with cheese. A robust wine that is a bargain at $14.40.
