Grape Variety Tasted: Five Zinfandels: 2014 “Juvenile” California Zinfandel ($23), 2013 “Old Vines” California Zinfandel ($29), 2013 “Pesenti Vineyard” Paso Robles Zinfandel ($40), 2014 “Mead Ranch” Atlas Peak Zinfandel ($44) and the 2013 “Ueberoth Vineyard” Paso Robles Zinfandel ($55).
Tasting Price: $10.00, the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles.
Comments: An easy three-hour drive from Agoura Hills, California, the Turley Wine Cellars is located in a scenic area of the California Central Coast. With beautiful golden mountains dotted with green California live Oak trees, the winery setting is spectacular. The very gracious and informative hostess explained the various sites where the grapes were grown and described the limited production of the Turley wines as we tasted one delicious Zinfandel after another. We like California Zinfandel, so enjoying these OUTSTANDING examples was simply “hog-heaven”. Even their “entry-Level” Zinfandel was special. We had the basic tasting at $10 for five good sized tastes, but the fee is waived if you buy two or more bottles per tasting. A more expensive tasting of their superior wines was available by appointment and we look forward to that at our next visit.
In addition to the tasting room, Turley has a picnic area that is available to visitors who bring food and purchase wine. We drank one of the bottles we bought along with our own delicious picnic lunch Vicky had packed. It was simply a wonderful wine tasting experience.

Well we signed up for their club mailing list, something we only do when we find unusually good wines or a special tasting experience. If you want to taste a range of OUTSTANDING Zinfandel wines this is our number one choice to do it!!!
