He said: Opened and drank. Clear, but Almost opaque, inky dark purple
/garnet color, with only a slightly lighter rim. Intense toasty and plum aromas. Than a powerful, full-body taste comes marching in that had lots of SMOOTH, RICH, dry, dark fruit flavors that you could chew on, rather than drink. And, all this continues to grow all the way through the long smoky finish that has very structured tannins. WOW, this is one of those special wines that only come along once in a while…you could smell and taste the wood in the barrel. Delicious with the cheese…delicious drinking alone, I’m jumping up and down, this is OUTSTANDING Rioja that’s a FANTASTIC value.
She said: Ruby red, opaque, irregular speedy legs. This was a WOW, WOW, WOW wine! One for aroma, another for mouth-feel and a third for finish. this wine has it all from the huge fruity aroma, to the explosion of flavor in the mouth to the long tasty finish. The wine was dry, ever so smooth and full bodied. It was delicious with the cheese but cried out for beef. A great value at $19 because it tastes like a $50 wine.
