He said: Chilled before opening. Clear with just the slightest tint of wheat straw color. Fresh aromas of citrus and ripe honey dew melon. Quite intense, somewhat crisp, citrus and apple taste that ends with a dry, medium-long finish ending in a slight bitterness. At only $7.99 we didn’t expect great Italian Pinot Grigio and it’s priced well for its quality…it’s just like the Pinot Grigio we get for 20 some euros at a outdoor cafe in the Pizza Navona!!! It’s OK Italian Pinot Grigio’s at this price point, so if this matches your budget it’s a good value for the price.
She said: Clear, light golden yellow fat, slow legs. The light aroma led to a full citrus flavor and medium body. As the wine warmed up a bit of bitterness emerged but the finish was long and pleasant. The wine lacked nuances of flavor and the crispness that we expect in a Pinot Grigio. The cheese dip was way too strong for the wine and I would seek a milder less salty accompaniment in the future. This wine is very drinkable and a good buy at this price point.
