He said: Opened only 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, VERY dark garnet color. Strong dark fruit, cherry, damp wood, wet leather and oak aromas (actually it’s a POWERFUL “New World” Cabernet bouquet!!!). Smooth as silk mouth-feel, dark fruit flavors you can chew on, great tannins that carry through a long, dry, finish that ends with hints of chocolate and tar. This is possibly one of the best values for a domestic Cabernet. Not at the level of the high-dollar Cabernet, but it gets two thumbs up from me and it’s one of the best inexpensive bottles of Cabernet I’ve tasted in a long time. An OUTSTANDING value for a delicious Cabernet that cost-consequence wine drinkers will love. It easily fits into our Quality Wine at a Bargain price category.
She said: Very dark red color, opaque; sparse, but very zippy legs.I have been drinking French wines for so long I had forgotten what a big bold domestic wine tastes like, but it took just a moment to get back in the mode. One stiff and I knew what I had been missing! It felt like I was in a barnyard savoring many great smells and as the wine flowed over my palate I embraced the dark fruit flavors, full tannins, chewy texture. With a medium body and long tasty finish this is a bargain wine especially if you like a tad of sweetness in the fruit flavors.
