Tasting:

He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Very dark ruby red color. Strong wood aromas with slight hints of damp earth and fruit. Quite intense current, cherry and blackberry taste with spicy notes and a long, peppery, dry, mouth filling, slightly bitter finish. This was a VERY, VERY tasty and a powerful Grenache that’s a “new world” Australian Grenache with hints of the Rhone Valley!!!

She said: Dark ruby red, opaque, with thin zippy legs. This is the kind of wine you just sit and smell. The aroma is full of luscious red fruits and has great staying power. The fruitiness in the mouth is enhanced by peppery flavors with a hint of tartness thrown in. The medium full body is complemented by dryness and considerable pleasant tannins that last into the long finish. Considering the color, tannins, and tartness I wonder if this is not actually a blend. Blend or not, I really liked it and would buy it again.
