He said: Opened just before drinking. A VERY dark purple color. Bursting with ripe blackberry aromas that really set the stage for the succulent rich fruit taste that’s both jammy and slightly sweet. At mid-palate there is a vibrant tart edge to the fruit that really gives it character. The silky tannins and dark fruit flavors carry it through a long finish that could be a dessert all by itself. However, with dark chocolate it’s fantastic and a very delicious dessert wine.

Comments: We first had this at a Caviste Wine Shop wine pairing dinner served with a caramel tart and it was very good (and one of our favorite wines at that dinner); however, I think it’s even better with the dark chocolate.
