Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Clear, green-light lemon color. Nice floral and damp earth aromas. SMOOTH, fresh tropical fruit with a slight tartness in the taste that continues through a medium-long finish with quite a bit of mineral at the end. Although it’s not actually sweet (it’s dry), I would really jump up and down if it was just a tad drier. Very good pairing with the dinner. But,… At only $11.99 it’s VERY nice Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc…and I would buy it again in a flash. Maybe not as good as what we had in South Africa but the best South African Chenin Blanc we have found so far in the United States!!!

She said: Light greenish yellow color, clear, irregularly spaced slow moving legs. Lovely aromatic bouquet of tropical fruit. Smooth and velvety on the palette, it had lots of fruity flavor but ended with a tad of bitterness. The finish was long and tasty but the mineral after taste lasted too long for me.
The wine was excellent with the dinner and complemented the sweetness of the pineapple and the flavor of the cinnamon. The aroma, taste, and smoothness of the wine were the big pluses; the after taste was the biggest negative. It was a bit too sweet for sipping as I am not fond of sweet wines in general, (I don’t like most Rieslings.). I would buy this wine again for an Asian dinner or similar for which many other people would buy a Riesling.
