He said: Dark ruby red color. Nice earthy aromas with hints of ripe cherry. Very juicy fruit taste with a medium-long dry fruit finish. “New World” Pinot in all its glory. Excellent with the lamb, and actually even better alone after dinner with its strong fairly smooth juicy flavor. This probably has a pretty good rating but it’s not cheap, not special and we have had many much better Pinot Noir’s at a lower price.
She said: Light aroma that has no trace of high alcohol (13.5%). The gentle taste is accomplished by a relatively weighty body, dryness and mild tannins that ticked my fancy. The wine was good with the lamb until the mint sauce arrived and was even better after the dinner. The dark chocolate treat at the end of dinner was especially good with the wine. The label says “Aristocratic Wines At Democratic Prices” however it should say Democratic Wine at Aristocratic prices!
