He said: Chilled before drinking. Very pale wheat straw color. STRONG pear and mushroom cave aromas. Delicious, very lively, slightly creamy, bubbly mushroom taste; all this and it continues through a long flavorful finish that has hints of lemon and limestone minerality. Fantastic depth of taste and lots of wonderful festive bubbles. This was a MEMORABLE Champagne. This bottle was a Christmas gift from our son and his wife and we decided to have it on our anniversary (in New York City the night before boarding the ship for our world cruise) and nothing could have been more enjoyable. SPECULAR Champagne, the aromas were unique; the intense flavors were simply delicious; and the lingering finish an experience all by itself. My recommendation for this is that if you have a VERY SPECIAL occasion to celebrate, spend the extra dollars for this VERY SPECIAL Champagne; or for sure, put it on your bucket list…it’s that unique!!!
She said: I don’t often get to drink “real” champagne this good, so this was a very special treat, complements of our younger son and his wife. Totally unique, it features organic flavors you won’t taste in other Champagnes. It was absolutely delicious with the lemon cake and I would unconditionally recommend it.
Comments: The Spécial Club is made up of a group of grower producers, which tastes and approves each other’s special cuvée. This 2004 Champagne was voted into this unique club.
