He said: Opened and corked 24 hours (this was the second tasting of what was left over from dinner the night before); served chilled. Light wheat straw color. Vanilla, honeysuckle blossoms and oak aromas. Creamy pear and apple taste that continues through the long finish that had a slight lemon taste. Not much acidity but lots of smooth creamy taste that complemented the rich crab. For me it was what I would call a “Typical California Chardonnay” and for the $39.99 list price I think there are many others, of equal quality, that have a lower cost…as a result I can’t recommend it.
She said: This Chardonnay had a big bold aroma and flavor, and this full flavored wine was delicious with crab imperial. The creamy texture and long vanilla/oak finish went perfectly with the crab but there are other California Chardonnay’s at a much lower price point.
