Tasting:

He said: Opened 20-minutes before drinking. Dark ruby red color. Strong dark fruit and alcohol aromas. Very intense, quite harsh, dry, VERY sharp dark fruit taste that continues through a fairly long finish. In a word…terrible!!! I can honestly say I don’t know why I bought this, we had it at a wine pairing dinner before buying it and I thought it was pretty good. But, this bottle gets a recommendation to NOT buy it…it’s close to a “pour it down the sink wine” for me. Unpleasant wine with or without food.

She said: If you drink wine for alcoholic content consider this one. Although it said 14.5% the alcohol aroma was present from start to finish. As I sipped a dark flavor emerged on the palate and slowly faded into the mercifully medium long finish. The dryness and medium tannins, that are its best features, are overwhelmed by the harshness so I can’t recommend this wine at any price point.
