Chilled before drinking. Crystal clear, light oat straw color. Faint whiffs of barnyard and apple aromas with hints of bread yeast in the background. Fresh, dry and delicate mouthfeel, light body and a 100-grit texture. Quite flavorful with apple dominating followed by an abundance of tart quince. Only medium acidity, but with a nice freshness followed by a very long apple and mineral tasting finish. Not a complex wine, but it’s a WOW easy drinking fresh Chenin Blanc. In a nutshell this was a laid-back and tenuous wine that was delicious, but lacked the strong Chenin Blanc characteristics we expected. In the end we called it an easy drinking white wine.
