Tasting:

He said: Very dark ruby red color. Light cherry bouquet. Strong, quite spicy cherry and blackberry taste with lots of tannins and acidity in the finish. The aggressive tannins were a turn-off for me, and it’s what I would call just an OK shiraz/Cab blend. Not complex, nothing special and certainly not memorable. Would I buy it again, unequivocally NO. We clearly don’t completely on this wine and it doesn’t get a recommended rating because were both not positive about it.

She said: When Ray decides to have a red wine for dinner I hold my breath because there are not many good reds at a bargain price. This blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a good taste for the price but is right on the edge of a bargain. This was a dinner of left overs so no wine is going to be “perfect” or even great with it. The wine was however, aromatic from the first sniff, tasty, dry, full bodied, and full of tannins right to the long finish. So you might ask, what was wrong? It lacked subtle and nuance of flavor. If you are into big flavor, big body, lots of tannins and a long finish this is a good wine though not a bargain.
