Chilled before drinking, Crystal clear, salmon color. Strong dark fruit sweet tobacco Monteverdi aromas with just the slightest hint of lavender floral. Smooth entry, very approachable, vibrant and a slightly tart mouthfeel, medium body and a 100-grit texture. Non-traditional rose flavors of boysenberry, black raspberry and black pepper. Wonderful fresh acidity and a long tart dark fruit and spicy finish. WOW, not your traditional Rosé. This was filled with rich, vibrant tastes, yet was so fresh and refreshing. Outstanding paired with the strong flavors in the pizza and equally delicious sipping without food. Because we purchase Rah Parr wines directly from the club and pay a set rate for each shipment we determine the bottle price by simply dividing the cost by the number of bottles in the box. This was STELLAR Rosé; however it isn’t inexpensive by any standard. With that said, we’re adventurous wine drinkers and are always looking for new wines that stretch the normal spectrum. This is very limited production and unique wine produced by one of the most knowledgeable experts in the world and we expect it to have a premium price tag for the uniqueness. We love Bandol Rosé, but this was EVEN BETTER!!!
